Pours almost clear with a lemon yellow tint (SRM 2). Two inches of frothy white head holds for a minute before quickly falling to a ring and leaving no lacing on a Pretentious Glass Company dimpled mug (Sparkles). Occasional tiny bubbles lazily rise upward, sparkling in my mug.
The aroma opens with pronounced corn kernels and a sharp astringency. It has an undertone of sweetness. Lemon is noticeable from a distance, however lost up close.
The flavor has light malt, more akin to sweet crackers. There is nothing over the top, and it has a light bitterness. As odd as this sounds, there may be a mix of bananas and apples. It is a bit vegetal. A mild finish washes in and out like the gentle waves on a calm shore line. Surprisingly, this beer improves with warmth.
The light to medium body is more light than medium with a soft oil texture. Given its strength, the slight presence of alcohol is a surprise. Carbonation is soft and prickly.
Chuck's Garage has all the hallmarks of being an entry beer for those more accustom to macro beer. One could easily consume it in quantity and decide from the aroma that it is enjoyable. It is well suited to consumption after working up a sweat on a hot, Summer afternoon.
Thank you, Jason.

On-tap @ Twin Elephant Brewing Co. in Chatham, NJ.
Pale gold and clear with the slightest of haze and a small white head. Big whiff of fresh corn in the aroma, rounded out by light cracker and earthy hops. The flavor is corny as hell too, despite there not being any corn in the mashbill (only pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malt). Medium-light bodied, crisp and clean in the finish. If it was Twin Elephant's intention to create an AAL in ale form, they succeeded big time. A refreshing palate cleanser.
