A: dark brown color with some ruby red
S: roasted malts, almonds, slight chocolate
T: big nutty flavor, caramel malts, a nice earthy hop presence which doesn’t make bitter, but makes it balanced. Awesome
M: medium mouth with low carb
O: fantastic brown ale. Malts and nutty

I had this on draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It's a pretty deep mahogany color with a foamy, light mocha head that dissipated rapidly leaving a thin sheen of lacing. Unfortunately, there's not much to the smell: faint coffee, oatmeal, cocoa, and nuts. The taste features freshly-brewed coffee and rich chocolate, nuts, and hints of cinnamon and raisin that became more evident as the glass warmed. It finishes slightly bitter. There are a lot of distinct tastes but none of them are particularly bold. This ale is medium-bodied with a lot more carbonation than I anticipated which is a little distracting. But at 5.6% ABV it's a very easy drinker. Overall, this is one of the best Brown Ales that Twin Elephant's brewed, along with Chuggington. I'd like to see more chocolate, cinnamon, and raisin but TE has in The Goon Docks a solid ale on which to improve. In a world of IPA's, this is a nice change of pace.
