On draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours an opaque, dirty gold color with a very thin milk-white head and minimal lacing. It has a fragrant smell of tangerine, lemon, tropical fruit, onion, oats, and floral hops. The oats provide a sweet, almost honey, taste that balances nicely with the tart citrus and flavorful blend of Mosaic, Citra, Galaxy, and Hohatu hops, and a hint of tropical fruit. The hops are bitter but do not have a strong bite. The finish features strong pepper notes. This ale is medium-bodied with lively carbonation and the 6.8% ABV gives it substance without distracting. Overall, this is a solid American IPA but it lacks the wow factor of some of Twin Elephant's recent offerings.
