On draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a turbid, straw-yellow color with a thin, milk-white head and lacing that dissipated quickly. A rather subdued nose featuring lemon peel, grass, grapefruit, tangerine, cracker, and just a whiff of lemon. I enjoyed the taste. It's dry but quite fruity with notes of lemon, tangerine, pineapple, and a hint of berry. The Ella and Kohatu hops are flavorful and bitter but without a bite. As the glass warms there is pepper at the finish and a slightly bitter after taste. This ale has a great mouth feel: fairly creamy and silky with pleasant carbonation, at at 5.9% ABV it carries more of a kick than many APAs. Twin Elephant has proven adept at brewing pale ales and this is a very nice one. Drier and less fruity than 'Lil Shimmy Ye but still tasty and fun to drink.

A: hazy, matte mixture of pale yellow and orange. Thin white head

S: huge melon and pineapple on the nose upfront. Onion and strawberry behind that. Some herbal tea leaf notes as well, with a big hit of oats in the background. Some sweet ripe mango and guava as well

T: clementines, sweet lemon, herbal tea leaf, creamsicle, and oats. There is a touch of grapefruit bitterness on the back of the tongue as well as a pretty large chalky taste. A touch of the ho burn in the throat

M: fluffy medium mouthfeel with almost no carbonation

O: this is a NEIPA. It’s got a subtle bitterness on the backend which prevents it from being overly sweet. It is sweet though. A decent example of the style, but nothing mind blowing
