A: bright, yet muted hazy yellow color with a hint of copper. 1 finger white head

S: creamsicle, mango, pineapple and passion fruit. Cracker and sweet orange zest behind that. A hint of melon at the end

T: sweet citrus, strawberry and a very slight grapefruit bitterness. Some sweet pineapple towards the back end. A bit of a chalky raw hop flavor in here as well

M: super fluffy medium mouth with more carbonation than many NE style beers, but less than other pale ales

O: an ok pale ale. The mouthfeel prevents it from being extremely refreshing, but it has just a slight bitterness to prevent it from being too sweet

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours an opaque, murky dirty yellow color with a thin, milk-white head that dissipated quickly leaving a thin sheen of creamy, like colored lacing. There's not much to the smell: lemon, lime, oats, some nondescript sweet fruit, and mellow floral hops. The taste opens dry and bitter with notes of lemon peel, peach, oats, and grass. As it warms you can begin to taste a little sweetness from the oats and fruit. The blend of Caliente, Galaxy, and Wakutu hops is quite delicate and flavorful, bitter without biting. There is also a noticeable peppery finish. This ale features a crisp, dry mouthfeel, with lively carbonation, and is almost crushable at 5.6% ABV. I was surprised how quickly I downed a pint. Overall, Barter Town is a well-executed pale ale. It's on the dry, bitter side. f you like fruit bombs, it may disappoint. To me, it was an ideal first beer of the weekend on a warm Friday afternoon.
