Pint on draught at the brewery. On the menu it's identified as Worker Drone: Fall Harvest & Orange Blossom. I'm not sure whether it's actually a different variant from the one on the BA database but I'll assume not and review here. It may be a different batch because the advertised ABV is 5.4% rather than 5.2%. It pours a hazy, pale straw color with a slight greenish hue and sports a foamy, bright white cap and thin coating of lacing. The initial smell is lots of corn but it then gets interesting with spices, subtle smoke, and honey. The taste is very sweet both from the corn and orange blossom honey. As the glass warms the honey becomes more pronounced. It has a slightly spicy finish. The feel is a bit unusual; it's heavier than a typical Cream Ale. The viscosity of the honey really influences the ale's body. The carbonation level is temperate and it's very easy to drink at 5.4% However, considering the sweetness I would stick to a single pour. Overall, Worker Drone is well-conceived. The mouth feel is intriguing but it's a bit too sweet for my liking. If the honey were toned down it would be very good.

A: mostly clear golden amber color. A hint of light caramel as well. 1 finger solid white head, like you could rest a coin on it

S: lemongrass, sweet grains, caramel, sweet citrus, and a hint of honey. A touch of pepper as well

T: clean sweet grains and honey. Sweet grass and lemongrass behind that. A little bit of earthy herbal spice, but it’s so minimal you almost miss it - it balances out the sweetness

M: medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation

O: not a bad cream ale here. It’s pretty sweet with the honey, but tastes clean and crisp. None of that cardboard taste you get in some others in this style. Mouthfeel is a bit heavy, but not too detrimental

On-tap at the brewery. 16 oz serving. Brewed with 10% flaked corn and local wildflower honey added twice.

Deep gold in color and fairly hazy. Fluffy white head with good retention. The aroma is mild with light crackers malt and an almost caramel sweetness. Right away on the first sip you get sweetness from the honey and it's delicious. There's a good malt backbone to it for the honey to play off of. Very light on the hops. Easy to drink thanks to a medium-light body.

A very quenching and satisfying beer. One of my favorites that I've had from Twin Elephant.
