Belgian style n taste with a kick at 9.4%. Good smell. Tried a pint n brought home a growler. Stored 1 week in fridge unopened, no change in the beer.

A: murky golden amber color with a thin off-white head
S: pear, green apple skin, wheat, lemongrass, pepper spice and some Belgian yeast
T: big note of pear and green apple. Grass and some sweet grains behind that. Some lemongrass and bananas as well. A hint of clove, more grains, and cardamom in here towards the end as well. a hint of herbal hops and alcohol to close
M: fuller side of med with hefty carbonation
O: a solid Tripel, nothing mind blowing. Worth a buy

Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, bright gold with a thin, milk-white head that dissipated quickly leaving a thin, spotty film of creamy lacing. The smell is spot on for the style: banana, lemon, clove, coriander, and Belgian yeast. Its taste is big and bold with banana, ginger, and orange peel, along with coriander, clove, and pepper corn. What sets it apart, though, is its bitterness. It's far more bitter than expected with a hint of char. There is nothing subtle about the tastes but they compliment each other nicely. For a Tripel it's moderately carbonated and, if anything, it drinks above its 9.2% ABV. Overall, this Tripel drinks big! The level of bitterness was unexpected but it works. Twin Elephant once again proves itself adept at brewing Belgian ales.
