Very weak beer with almost no aroma or taste at all. Quite disappointed compared to some of the other twin elephant beers. No sweetness whatsoever - perhaps true to its style but like tasteless water.

To begin, I loved asking the server for a "pint of bitter." It pours a pretty, brownish amber with a thin, milk-white head. On the nose there is caramel, roasted grains, and spice. The taste features caramel, buttered brown bread, biscuit, nuts, and hints of chocolate malt. There is abundant pepper and spice at the finish. The feel is lite and clean with mild carbonation, and what can you say about the 4.5% ABV. Isn't a bitter the ultimate session ale? Overall, this is a nice rendition of the style and a thoroughly enjoyable pint. I wish more craft brewers would brew an English, or Ordinary, Bitter. In a world of DIPAs and big Stouts, this simple brew is always a pleasure!

A: dark amber color with a hint of mahogany. Thin, off-white head

S: sweet grains, caramel, sweet berries, grass, biscuits

T: grains, sweet berries, a hint of sweet grass as well. A bready biscuity backbone and some light caramel

M: medium mouthfeel with low carbonation

O: not bad, but this could be better. Some more caramel sweetness would be nice, as well as a touch more body from the malts
