A: super super cloudy pale yellow and orange color. White 1 finger head that fades to a film

S: sweet melon, guava, pineapple, apricot, dried candie mango, passionfruit, grass, dragonfruit, and tart orange. A little bit of malt sweetness and creamsicle in the back as well

T: apricot, grapefruit, orange juice, orange peel, dragon fruit, pineapple, sweet malt. Ripe mango, and a touch more bitterness from the grapefruit. A touch of pepper and some smooth sweet earthy notes

M: medium mouthfeel with low carbonation

O: nice DIPA. Quite complex flavor with nice hop harmonization. Mouthfeel could use a touch more sticky though, flavor is spot on

Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a turbid, brownish-tangerine color with a foamy, milk-white cap and a soapy film of lacing. It's an elegant pour. On the nose there is lemon, pineapple, melon, and the unique aroma of Motueka hops. Wow, this is delicious! It opens with a burst of melon and tropical fruit balanced by dry lemon and tart grapefruit, along with a sweet maltiness that reminds me of Animal Crackers. The flavors blend seamlessly. It finishes clean and slightly bitter. The balance is terrific. A super easy drinker for its 8.3% ABV, it's thick, plush, and creamy with a pleasant level of carbonation. It went down incredibly quickly. Overall, No Brakes is a tour de force. I think it's the best Twin Elephant DIPA yet. It's flavorful and highly drinkable and a great candidate for canning. Twin Elephant should be very proud of this offering.
