This is the sensory sweet science, simultaneously attacking & defending dem pints. Thicc and chewy hoppy liquid representing Dank Crushing Philosophies. The invincible armour of pale malts rounded plump with puffed wheats, red wheats and raw wheats hitched to the fresh blaring rhythm of Nelson Sauvin, El Dorado, & Rakau. Smells like grilled peaches, dried mango slices, cantaloupe wedges. Tastes like pineapple, mango smoothie, blueberry muffins with a brown sugar dusting.

New release. Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a turbid, dirty tangerine color with a large, fluffy, eggnog-colored cap and thick lacing with excellent retention. A very attractive pour. Its fruity nose features pineapple, tangerine, lemon, and a whiff of white wine grape. The taste pops with ripe pineapple, honeydew melon, tangerine, and a hint of berry from the El Dorado hops. Behind the sweetness of the fruit is a base of wheat cracker and the subtle flavor of Nelson Sauvin hops. There is just a touch of white wine grape. The El Dorado and Rakau hops provide moderate, clean bitterness at the finish. The mouth feel is outstanding; thick and creamy with moderate carbonation and it's surprisingly like and drinkable for 9% ABV. I had to pace myself on a hot summer day. Overall, Chessboxin' is an outstanding Imperial IPA with big flavor and adept use of the Nelson hops. I hope Twin Elephant cans this ale soon.
