A: slightly hazy dark straw yellow color. Pours a light fizzy 3 finger head but that faded way quick to nothing but a thin film on the sides. Would have liked the head to stick around tomorrow

S: loads of grains hit the nose right away. Some sweet grass behind that with a hint of caramel. Some straw and pepper. Huge crackery backbone

T: sweet grains , grass, light caramel upfront. Some earthy sweetness and dry crackers. Very smooth

M: lighter side of medium with low-medium carbonation

O: this is pretty tasty for the style. The one thing it’s lacking is a bit of the lager crispness at the back to balance some of the sweetness. Otherwise it’s quite nice, even if sweet. A very easy beer to drink a couple liters of!

On-tap @ Twin Elephant Brewing Co. in Chatham, NJ.

Gold in color with a moderate creamy white head. Hazy body, not exactly what you want to see in your Oktoberfestbier.

Aroma is nice with subtle bready malts and light grassy noble hops. Flavor leans to the sweet malt and it's smooth in the finish. Could be a little cleaner. Doesn't feel fully attenuated. Medium-light bodied and easy enough to drink.

Could be cleaned up a little bit, maybe lagered a little longer? But overall not bad for the style.
