I’ve had a few hoppy beers from Twin Elephant that were good, tasty and well executed, but this is on a whole other level for me - a superb four pack at a fair price that has me running back for another. Drinks easy, has a full and creamy body but still not excessively filling or flabby, appealing fruity tropical notes, but its initial sweetness gets cleaned up with dank, weedy undertones in the finish and a touch of hop burn that frankly, I enjoy. Really outstanding stuff.

Pint pour on draught at the brewer 2 days after release. It pours a murky, muddy, pastel yellow color with a half finger of foamy, bright white head and thick, clinging lacing. The smell features earthy, herbal, grassy notes and the tart scent of lemon peel. Its taste is very dank with lemon peel, grapefruit rind, white wine grape, and grassy, herbal notes. The malt is present in the background and is earthy and mildly sweet. The Strata hops provide herbal, cannabis notes which dominate the taste. There is little hop bitterness but hints of pepper and spice at the finish. This ale has a thick, creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and the 8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this version of Nosh is a really effective use of Strata hops with big flavor and a very enjoyable mouth feel.
