a: dark orange and brown color, slightly hazy. pours a nice 2 finger head that fades very quick

s: some generic pumpkin aroma and sweet potato followed by a distinct lager spice and slightly cardboardy aroma. some brown sugar and cinnamon. squash and a slightly sweet grainy backbone

t: a pit of that pumpkin pie filling flavor followed by the crisp lager note and that like generic cardboard note. nutmeg and clove. some sweet grainy notes. as a previous review stated, the flavors in here are subtle

m: lighter medium mouthfeel with low-medium carbonation

o: pretty decent tasting beer here. the pumpkin notes along with the lager characteristics are interesting, and provide for a lighter and more subtle beer

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a bright, pumpkin orange color with a tiny cap of ecru foam and minimal lacing. The look is redeemed by its smell: lots of sweet malt, pumpkin, nutmeg, and allspice. This lager is brewed with pumpkin meat which is enhanced by the spicing. The pumpkin flavor really comes through at the finish. The flavors are subtle which is appropriate for a lager. It tastes like pumpkin and not merely a spiced beer. The mouth feel is moderately creamy for a Lager with lite carbonation but the 5.8% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, this is probably my first Pumpkin Lager and I was curious how it would drink. But no worries. This is a quality brew and I recommend it.
