Copenhagen 23/3 2023. 50 cl can from BulgarskMad, Åbouevareden , Kbh. N. As Praha by Staropramen. White and green can with a stylized skyline of Prague .
Pours clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with citrus and something chemical. Sweet pale malts, bread and cardboard. Grass, lemon and a light touch of acetone.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a visit. Finish is semi-sweet.
Sweetish malty beer. Expected more from a Czech Pilsener.

Nov. 2003: (500 ml can, flown in from Praha/Prague). Typical pils golden colour, good to moderate head. Some Saaz aroma, but not very strong. Light bodied, as expected from a pils with only 4.0% ABV, but it has a decent hop balance which leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Refreshing, but the ordinary Staropramen Lager (Lezák) is better.

Bought at a Supermarket in Olomouc (Moravia, Czech Republic). 0,5 liter bottle poured into a mug of glass.
-Translucid amber. Small foam head. Leaves traces of foam.
-Herbal smell. No spicy traces (unlike other Pilseners).
-Pilsener taste. Quite full body.
-Small bitter aftertaste.
Usual Czech Pilsener, good but nothing out of the norm.
