This is a proper svetly lezák! I love Staropramen and this one beer shows off their brewing qualities - making decent beers without a doubt. Czech lezaks sometimes have bitterness in excess and can be overflowing with Saaz hops - this one now achieves a good balance between them: not too hoppy but not too bitter either. Just how you like them Czech lezaks. A very decent Czech pilsner, I loved it.

L- Mid amber, Low carbonation, both rising and as a head. White head swiftly cleared to lacing.
S- That distinctive Bohemian pilsener hoppy [dopey!] aroma, the moment I popped the bottle. Up close it continues to smell the same, with some biscuity notes.
T- Regular Staropramen is pretty hoppy/dry to me, this one seems to be similar, just with a bit less ABV% to provide a underpinning foundation of body. This is my first beer today and now my palate is adjusting, it does come over as light on body, yet still pretty full on with the hoppy/dry flavour. I can imagine this working well for plenty of people and situations.
F- Quite light but refreshing. It should work well on a hot day. Carbonation in the mouth is very good.
O- Would work as a session-pils in hotter months. It retains the original charecteristics of the better known big-name Staropramen pilsener.
660ml bottle. BB 31/8/19. Bought from Sainsbury's supermarket in London W10. £1.95.
I'm long familiar with Staropramen pilsener, this variant's unique selling point seems to be labelled as a 'lighter tasting pilsener'.
