Stamp on can bottom is smudged but whats legible says " 2022 Feels Like Summer" implies less than 6 months old.
It pours a deep, clear brown, ruby red at the bottom of my goblet.
Much better can art than what is depicted above btw.
A frothy, 1 inch head crops up slumping to a thick 2-tone ring of beige with lots of lacy drapes.
The aroma is soft - hints of milk chocolate and spent grains, a bit of charred flowers.
Flavor is a mix of dark malt and bakers chocolate and a touch of cherry fruitiness but more bitter than sweet and thin in body especially cold.
As it warmed more charred grain flavors come forward, the sweetness not enough to balance the dryness that boarders on astringency.
The finish is abrupt and dry, little residual sugar or hop bite, just a lingering sooty aftertaste.

Decanted from a crowler obtained at the brewery on 16 May 2017.
A: Pours an opaque mahogany brow with a foamy brown head that doesn't persist. Little lacing.
S: Perhaps a roasted malt nose initially.
T: Dark malt, black coffee, pepper-- bitterness throughout including mild aftertaste.
M: Medium bodied, decent effervescence.
O: Enjoyed it at the brewery, less so after a week in a crowler. Limited in complexity.
