Way off the beaten path, very rural setting with scenic vistas all around. What a grear location for enjoying farmhouse ales and lambics. Small rustic taproom, prety sparse interrior but outside has a small covered patio and lots of open air picnic tables. They have their own kitchen serving artisanal food with a natural ingredient character. Taps and bottle pours available, as well as a small selection of bottles to go.

V: If you had to pick a word to describe Pen Druid, it's rustic. I had to ask directions to find it because there's not a single drop of wi-fi to be found. It's a charmingly no frills kind of place, with a set of benches occupying the floor and a nice bar against the wall; everything else is for the brewing operation.
Q: It looked to be a high level of quality here, as everything's brewed on site.
S: The service was very prompt and friendly, though I didn't ask any beer-related questions.
S: A relatively small selection of beers on-tap, but a good one: A porter, an IPA, a DIPA, a blonde, and a couple of sours. They also had a selection of four bottle to take with you. Not a huge array of beers, but a good one.

This is a very osbcure brewery located in a tucked away town of nearby Sperryville. It's off a dirt road, but in a nearby small commercial area which is right beside Fox Distillery as well.
There is in house wifi you can use since the area has virtually no cell reception, just ask them for access and they will provide. As for the beer and quality it's very unique. All the beers are made with a unique wild yeast strain that was litteraly cultivated down in the creek right outside the brewery. With this they have made some really unique creations.
The staff is really nice as well, and they have great ambience in what looks like an old warehouse from a time long gone by. The vibe here is great. I walked in thinking nobody would even be around, then went inside and found lots of locals and visitors sitting around having a great time inside in the make shift benches and tables.
Really like this place, I will always try to stop by if I am nearby and it's very worth going out of the way for as well, like a nice little hidden gem.

three brothers own and run the joint. I'm not sure which one we chatted with, but the guy was super cool and very willing to talk "beer". They use their own locally cultivated yeast! Which helps them have a very unique flavor and a real representation of local beer. Plus, I'm going through a saison/sour(ish) beer phase, so I loved that hint of wild to their beer. Great work fellas. My wife and I will definitely be back for another round as soon as we can.
