Hop bomb. Short head on amber brew. No lace. Appetizing aroma, but heavy handed to taste, very sweet malt. Orange peel, some caramel. A beer of two extremes. ABV of 8.4% according to the bottle, so bit of alcohol warmth on the finish. Pushy beer.

Bottle picked up from the brewery by my co-worker Daniel - thanks dude! Served in a Bellwoods snifter.
A - Off-white foam settles to a partial cap and thick collar. Minimal lace left behind. Hazy orange-amber body.
S - Lots of tropical, fruity hops, with a good amount of sweet malt character supporting things. A hint of diacetyl, but not overly offensive. Some mildly, spicy, savory notes with a touch of pine as well. Not much alcohol presence.
T - The taste is similarly balanced, with a sweet toffee and treacle malt bill supporting fruity, tropical hops flavors. Not overly bitter, and again, not much alcohol. Balanced and fairly enjoyable.
M - Medium bodied, with a creamy, chewy texture. Some lingering oily hops, with lower, soft carbonation. A touch of warming by the end of the glass, but nothing excessive.
D - Very old school in balance; almost reminiscent of an American Barleywine in the Bigfoot or Behemoth style. Significantly better than my first encounter with Bandit beers, but still seems a bit out of touch with current trends and tastes; feels like Rock Bottom circa 2009 or something.
