12 oz can in SC.
Pours with a huge durable tan head, a befits an Irish stout. The can says American stout and backs it up with the necessary hops. Lots of dark chocolate too.
Fine creamy mouthful.
Overall - impressive.

Decided to tick through a bunch of extras that I had received in recent trade/BIF boxes and this one was in that batch. No date on the can so not sure how young or old this is. watery, but classic looks. Nose has that nice minty char...perfect brew for today (st pats). Big fan of this style in general and this is a really solid offering. Nice robust roasted char body...a bit richer than your avg irish dry. Has an almost andy's candies vibe to it...really enjoyable and well done take on a style that doesn't get nearly enough attention.

L: Poured from a can to a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was an inch and a half of foamy, tan-colored, long-lasting head. Very good lacing.
S: An okay, if somewhat underwhelming aroma of coffee, malt, and some chocolate.
T: Tasted of a pretty decent amount of roasted malt, some coffee notes (not nearly enough), some chocolate (again, not enough), a slight, chalky quality, and a tinge of hops. Like the aroma, the taste was a little on the thin side. It has its charms, but needs a little more oomph.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth, dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Definitely a mixed bag with this beer. It has its good qualities, but doesn't hit it out of the park.
