Märzen is the malty/amber precursor to the pale modern day Oktoberfest lager.

In Germany, only breweries within Munich are allowed to call their beers “Oktoberfestbier”. We call our interpretation a Märzen-festbier out of respect for this tradition.

Handsome appearance with a dark orangey amber topped with plenty of foam even in the plastic cup. Lovely beery and roasted grain aroma. Abundance of malt, warm and roasty. Just the right sweetness with that touch of caramel. Mouth-filling body wit plenty of spritz.

There's a touch of hops that seem just right for this malty brew. There is not much of the dirty, resiny taste that so many Marzens are afflicted with. After sipping on it for the last hour, this seems like the best Oktoberfest beer I"ve had in ages. From the 32 oz crowler picked up at Mendez Mobil station in the depths of Coral Gables.
