Copenhagen 4/2 2020. 33 cl bottle from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihavnsgade, Kbh. Ø. Cowboy with a mask and a gun shooting hop flowers on the label.
Pours murky orange with small sediments whirling about. Small white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, sweet and fruity with hints citrus lemonade. Sweet oranges and peach. A bit of malty caramel. Prominent odor of citrus and grape fruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with sweet malty undercurrent. . Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Solid, well-balanced Italian IPA. Had expected something very bitter when studying the hop-shopper on the label.

Took a side trip to San Remo Italy while visiting Nice France and didn't expect to find any kind of craft beer while in Italy but to my surprise I found this in a little shop while having lunch. Really not a bad attempt at an IPA as I've had much worse here in the US. Italy had some of the best coffee and gelato but not a beer destination.
