Copenhagen 27/1 2020. 33 cl bottle from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihavnsgade, Kbh. Ø. Drawing of a stark raving mad alchemist messing with his gear pouring barley into the machine where grapes is also added. The reason behind the term “Italian Grape Ale”, I suppose.
Pours unclear orange-ish brown with sediments whirling about. Small white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense, fruity with sharp sour-ish notes. Grapes and peach. Sourish grainish odor. A bit chemical. Metallic alcohol.
Medium carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and bit sour. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Interesting concept with a bit of grapes flavoring the beer. A bit boozy and a little bit bland.
