Poured from a 12 oz. can: clear, deep golden to light copper with a foamy, slowly dissipating off white head. There is a date stamped on the bottom the can; however, I cannot determine if is the canned date or drink by date.
Very strong aromas of American hops with an emphasis on pine.
The first taste offered a nearly one dimensional flavor of bitterness; however, after the ale warmed a little in the glass, the ale became more balanced and flavorful with the strong piney hop accents and honey-like malt with faint hints of butterscotch.
The body was perhaps slightly too thin but the lingering bitterness on the palate was very pleasant.
Perhaps not my favorite American pale ale, it does have some interesting flavors and is refreshing and dry on the palate. This type of hop forward ale is best enjoyed fresh from the brewery.

12 oz can dated 8/10/18 poured into glass solo cup.
Apple juice color with a creamy small head of 1/2 finger.
Aroma is of Citra hops and slight tropical influence - orange peel, mango, peach pit, slight pineapple, slight onion.
Flavor is of spoiled hop, chunky onion, diesel fuel, pine, antiseptic, orange peel, grapefruit peel, lemon peel, faint orange creamsickle, slight mango.
Feel is very acidic, crisp, heavily carbonated, light creaminess underneath.
Overall, definitely wasted, but I think this was probably a decent beer at some point. Ah well.

Hazy straw color, white head, dissipates quickly, some lacing; Fresh hoppy smell; mildly tangy, moderate carbonation. Mild hoppy flavor. Quite drinkable, a nice session pale ale.

12oz can into to a pint glass. Spook Hill is a really solid balanced pale ale that is maltier than most but still with a good dose of fresh citrusy hops. Really solid!

The color is brown-orange. Opaque, but it does let through a fair amount of light. Not much head. If I said it looks like muddy water, that would about do it.
Red grapefruit and pineapple, but not overly sweet or bitter. Powdered sugar. It could stand to be a little stronger.
The taste has way more grapefruit, and it's more toward the bitter white variety. LIghtly toasted malt. Like the smell, the taste could be stronger. Still, it probably fits the bill nicely for someone who doesn't want the hammer (i.e., the latest 11% abv IIIPA).
Well integrated carbonation, but slightly pricly with a swish. Aftertaste is bitter grapefruit.
