We’ve put the “red” in Red Cypress with a refreshing hybrid of German and American styles! With aromas of crusty baked bread, a balanced hop bitterness and a clean, dry finish, this approachable ale proves our roots run deep.

12 oz. can. Pours a muddy amber that looks kind of like cola. Head is off-white, frothy, and dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet with scents of brown sugar, caramel, and citrus. Taste is mildly bitter with just a touch of sourness. It is medium-bodied with a slightly thick texture and average carbonation. The finish is mild and quick. Overall, I find there to be nothing special about this brew.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark Amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is malt with some hops. The taste is an unsavory slightly bitter hop and malt blend.

12oz can. Can’t discern a code date on bottom of can. Appearance: Deep Amber brown, hazy, and a slightly off white foam head that is realatively thick. Aroma: Strong toasty bread crust and nutty, rye malt character. Slight herbalbhop note that is fairly restrained. Taste: Light to moderate malt sweetness that is heavy on toasted bread crust, some nuttiness, then turns to a sharp, strong bitterness that delivers a kick with a touch of citrus flavor. Mouthfeel: Fairly light bodied with a low to moderate carbonation. Maybe a bit on the thin side. Finish: Leaves a dry powerful citrus bitterness that lingers, then has a sudden burst of strong toast. Overall: a decent beer that is most closely related to an altbier. Has a clean, crisp profile of a lager, a strong, almost acrid toasted breadiness, followed by a high herbal/citrus bitterness. Has a bit of haze and seems a little thin. With a touch more body against the high bitterness this could balance better

\Deep, dark, clear red-bown body with a good head and very good lacing.
Aroma: mild and malty
Flavor: richer, stronger and more hoppy than the aroma suggests, but not rich or strong or hoppy.
Feel: medium body and carbonation; dry finish.
