Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Firestone Walker tulip glass.
A: Turbid orangish gold, with a low amount of visible carbonation. A very thin white head forms and fades away quickly.
S: Tropical fruits, passion fruit, pineapples, and mango. Citrus - oranges and tangerines. Melon as well. Biscuit malts (is there some wheat in here?) but no caramel to speak of.
T: Very juicy – orange and pineapple and passion fruit juice. Citrus bitterness with bits of melon. A biscuity malt body, but feels thicker than that – like there’s wheat or oats or something else in there. A little yeasty, but not in a bad way. More fruitiness (tangerines, but even more tropical fruits) in the hang with modest bitterness.
M: Medium to a bit heavy body with a smooth mouthfeel. A good amount of carbonation sensation. Low alcohol presence for an IPA.
O: Really, really tasty. It's not quite on the upper tier of the "Hazy IPAs" , especially because this has an actual fruit infusion (rather than all the fruit flavors from the hops). But this is a well-conceived and executed IPA.
