12 oz can dated 8/10/18. Poured into Ellipsis glass.
Color is an appropriate orange-honey color with a creamy head of 1 finger. Recedes to a bubbly ring.
Aroma brings blood orange, general citrus, and tangerine, and rice krispies cereal.
Flavor is a little more bitter than expected but calms down and settles in towards the back of the palate laying down a nice blanket of maltiness. Tangerine and blood orange are there in spades, but there's a lot of firm lemon rind and grapefruit rind bitterness in there as well. Crisp pilsner and nutty malts combine on the palate for a rounder profile.
Feel is semi-creamy and smooth, with a good low-medium level of carbonation. Slight resins not too many on the finish, with a slight citric burn.
Overall a pretty decent IPA. Blood orange is definitely present here.

12oz can into a sniffer. This is a different spin on one of the breweries flagship beers (Devil’s Chair IPA) with 700 pounds of blood oranges added to the batch. The blood oranges give the already solid IPA base an extra layer of citrusy sweetness that makes for a tasty brew.
