Modest head production, fading to a thin rim around the edge. Brew is black and inviting.
Nose features coffee, roasted barley, and a hint of cherries.
Brew is thick and flavorful on the palate: chocolate, roast, coffee, cherries, and vanilla, approximately in that order. Very smooth and creamy feel, with a bit of alcohol heat. Cherries and chocolate linger on the palate with a long finish. Cherries are sweet, rather than particularly tart. Bit of char on the finish, as well.
