my first from park city, i didnt even know this brewery existed until i encountered this one at the bar at powder mountain. i think its neat how much flavor a lot of these utah brewers have been able to pack into their draft at just 4% abv, but in this instance, i think they may have overcompensated a little bit with the yeast profile, which is so estery, almost phenolic, if you dont love belgian yeast, stay clear! that said, i really kind of like it, like a cleaner and lighter blue moon in base, i still taste and feel some wheat, insanely pale in color, lightest of light golden tints, nice white head from the tap. aroma here of spices like clove and allspice, even nutmeg, with sweet orange, even a hint of rye, although i doubt its in here, trace coriander herbaceous freshness, and a ton of the belgian yeast character, white wine, green pear and apple, its intense, but it works. less drinkable than it could be, they should cool the fermentation temperature down a little bit, and it would be way more of a session thing. i think with bold flavors like cheesy garlic bread and spicy wings this would be a fit, but with anything even a little bit subtle, its awfully bold. i hope to check this place out in person next time i make it out that way!
