650ml bottle poured in a weizen glass. This beer is only brewed in the summer, so this is a 2006 batch.

Hazy, pale yellow in colour. Off-white head is 1/4inch on the pour, but recedes to a thin cap. Elegant lacing down the sides.

Aroma is spicy with cloves being the most obvious. A little plain and average compared to some other wit beers.

Flavour profile seems to follow the aroma. Cloves right from the start. They fade a little toward the finish to reveal a light wheat presence. Practically no aftertaste.

Medium bodied with lots of little pin pricks of carbonation.

This really seemed a little "blah" to me. I wasn't able to pick up on any complexities so this really seemed to be just a straight forward version of a wit beer. That's not a bad thing, as this is still a refreshing beer on a hot summer night, but there isn't alot to really entice me to come back for more.

A unique interpretation of the wit style. It’s a hazy lemon yellow colour. The aroma smells strongly of rosemary with some subtle lemon smells mixed in. Flavor wise, there’s lots of spice... specifically corriander, and more rosemary. There’s some grapefrity citrus in there as well, but not really as much as I would have liked. I also got the distinct flavor of stuffing, as in the kind you’d have with a roast chicken or turkey. Very unusual, and not as bad as it sounds. Finishes sour-dough bready and dry. It’s a wit that requires slower drinking to appreciate all the flavors. I’d definitely drink it again, just to see what other flavors I could pick up.

The first Beer I got to enjoy from the Canadian BIF package I got from rudge75. Thanks Dave!

Appearance: A hazy peach, with a big froth that calmed down to form a crown of white lace.

Smell: Szechuan and lemon pepper gave it a citrus and spicy nose, with the added fruityness of orange peel. Very enjoyable.

Taste: The bustling carbonation really brought out the mix of flavors well. Coriander, even a little citrus basil, along with tangerines and curacao. Body was just perfect for me, it had a bit more roundness and body than a lot of Wits I've had before. I really liked it.

Refreshing orange coriander. Other citrus flavors - complex. Carbonation on high side, aggressive. Good wheat beer, good summer choice. Medium mouthfeel. Pale yellow as pale whitbeer. Citrus nose. Unmalted wheat and malted barley. Thanks Osborne Freehouse.
