Thanks to markaberrant for the bottle acquired via trade.

Looks good. Nice pale tan head with good retention. This ruddy bodied brew is slightly hazy, and moderately carbonated.

Nice and rich malty nose, figs, toffee and some grain husk immediately come to mind. A mild touch of Noble hops also present, as well as a touch of DMS.

Another tasty brew from Bushwakker. Rich, bready malts that hint at figs, toffee, and caramel. Touch of melanoidin only adds to the richness, and the hints of DMS are appropriate. Clean bitterness with grassy hints and even less lemon cleans things up at the finish.

A nice, medium bodied, malt centered beer as per the style. Decent level of attenuation, and a nice smooth, almost creamy feel to this one.

Pretty drinkable, the first 10oz from the bomber are gone and the rest is soon to follow. Probably too big to relaly session, but certainly drinkable enough to enjoy a bottle or two when the mood for a rich and malty brew strike. Kudos to Bushwakker on this tasty lager.

650ml bottle poured in a pint glass.

Clear, dark red-brown-amber colour. Frothy 1/4 inch cream coloured head on the pour, but recedes to a ring around the edge and thin cap.

Aroma is a little on the light end, but reveals a faint caramel sweetness.

Toasted malts and caramel up front give it a sweetish feeling, but through the middle some skunky hops appear in the background to give some balance. Finish is towards the sweet side with toasted malts and caramel, with a light hop bitter background. Lingering aftertaste is toasted malts with a hint of sweetness and bitterness. At times it has a bit of a cough syrupy feel when the alcohol makes itself known.

Medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Velvety smooth.

Another good showing for Bushwakker. There seem to be very few weak brews on their line-up. A little too much sweetness to be a regular, but a nice change of pace beer.

Pour reveals a dark copper-cola lager 2 finger frothy cap with fair retention and fair lacing...lightly carbonated. Nose is very subtle with just light hints of toast, caramel, hay.

Firm malt spine, Medium bodied, soft rounded mouthfeel, mild toasty-sweet character.

Toasty-rich caramel malt mixture up front then midway nobel hops and lager yeast byproduct flavors develop mixing with the malts to give impressions of caramel-walnut bundt cake with light herbal tones, some figs and hebs...finish is wet with light herbal bittering keeping the caramel sweetness from becoming cloying...pleasant bready after taste....some light warming from the alcohol.

Not an overly robust bock but a very flavorful satisfying and drinkable traditional bock. I can highly recommend this to dark lager lovers.
