650ml brown bomber poured into a dimpled mug. Best before Dec 9, 2012. This is a bottle from their first batch.

Black and opaque with a little cola highlights on the edges when you hold it to the light. Dark beige head is a solid and thick 3/4 inches on the pour but retains a dense 1/16 th cap throughout. Lots of bands of lacing.

Aroma of fruity grapefruit and oranges. Strong hop profile.

Complex flavour. Each sip seems a little different from the last. Predominntly strong citrus hops and dark/burnt malts. Grapefruit, lemon, burnt marshmellow, dark roast coffee, grassy/herbal hops. Long bitter finfish.

Full bodied without being thick. Lots of little pin prick bubbles on the tongue.

One of my new favourites at the 'whakker. Top notch quality blending IPA with Stout.

Bottle from dresden. Thanks! Best before Nov 17/12.
Poured in to tulip.

A - Poured dark brown and settled black. One finger of light brown head with spotty lacing.

S - Bitter grassy hops up front with a roast profile in the background.

T - A big bitterness up front with grassy and earthy flavours. The roast is present as well but takes the back seat to the hops profile. A touch of coffee is present in the finish along with a dry, bitterness that lingers.

M - Medium body with a nice creaminess. Light carbonation.

O - My first beer from Bushwakker. This was well done.
