cool open place with a super chill bartender and bar goers
their house beer was just ok but their selection of other craft was pretty damn good. the fish and chips were huge and very good as well

I visited Bell + Whete recently for a couple of beers after work. For the most part, I like the place; the beer selection is quite good, with 60 or so beers on tap including a wide variety of local beers and a special seasonal beer menu. Prices are a little on the high side, but it's a nice place in a rapidly gentrifying area -- what are you going to expect?
Service was pretty standard bar service, and I would say the atmosphere is definitely geared toward small groups. The lights are low, so it may not be an ideal place to kill some time with a book and a beer once it's dark outside. Still, it's new and nice; I can't really fault it for its dimness; the draw here is the selection, which is quite good.
Updated review 5/11/17.
Since my last review, the former Bell+Whete has become Belltown Brewing. They've opened up a brewery on-site, and although the name has changed the establishment is pretty much the same. The last time I visited, they had 5 of their own beers on tap; nothing particularly unusual, just some decent standard-style beers.
