Poured from 22oz bomber into a tulip. This bottle is listed as a "bourbon barrel-aged brown ale" and clocks in at 9.1%. Does the version of Tombourbon change every year?
Appearance: rich, dark-brown hue with a fair amount of murky haze. Head is a finger of frothy tan foam; overall the look is nice.
Smell: lots of smooth chocolate and sweetness with a light dose of bourbon. It's nice, if not exceedingly complex.
Taste: nutty and malty with some chocolate and toffee character along with, again, a light hint of bourbon. It's straightforward, and not too bad.
Mouthfeel: rather thinner than I expected, but with a decent carbonation.
Overall: there are some interesting flavors here, and I actually like the subtlety of the bourbon. A decent barrel-aged brown.

Dark but thin appearance with no minimal head or little carbonation. Very mild bourbon aroma. Taste is also a very mild bourbon that seems to be a little watered down for me. No alcohol taste. No need for aging since you get what your going to get shortly after purchase
