We invite you to jump out of light speed, turn off the warp drives and set the thrusters to "ah yeeeah" as you coast into and through the Citrus Galaxy. No citrus added to this IPA, but a favorable amount of Citra and Galaxy hops give this interstellar chill ride aromas of Mandarin oranges, grape fruit and a touch of lemon zest.

A pale golden amber pour, light head and lacing. The label says it has orange peel added, but the citrus aroma is almost so faint as to be masked by the beer aroma. It's an IPA from being hop forward with a dose of orange juice. Mouthfeel is light carbonation, no sharpness, but otherwise undistinguished. It's a middle-of-the-road ale in a crowded field. Ok, but we won't seek it out.

Can from ABV.
A clear orange with a dense, off-white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a nice blend of of citrus peel and tropical fruit. Malt character is minimal with a light toast note. The palate opens bitter with a tropical and stone fruit to go with the citrus notes. The citrus peel is bright but lacks in real depth. A little watery and fizzy on the palate, this beer finishes with a pleasant bitterness and moderate fruitiness. Nice stuff.

This brewery just "gets" IPA's. Lucille, Bodhizafa. and now, Citrus Galaxy. Love this beer and if you are in the Seattle area, go to their taproom. It is awesome!

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and a little dankness, pale malt, orange and light mixed tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, light grapefruit, mild mixed tropical fruit, a little caramel on the finish and lingering citrus and light tropical hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess, good mouth feel. I'm a late to the party for trying this year's Seattle Beer Week offering. I was glad to see it come from Georgetown, who have had a low profile, but are starting to put canned beer on the market and some of their rather fine IPAs. This one was a surprise at first, then a "Doh !" moment, seeing the haziness, which is not a style I've seen from Georgetown, but then realized what year I'm in. Of course this year's would be a hazy. After the first surprise, the aroma and initial taste were within the fruity, hazy profile, with maybe a little more citrus hops and traditional West Coast flavor. Still not my style, but this is a hazy that was quite nice from first sip to the end of the can. An appropriate and fine drinking lightly hazy IPA. This one would be actually a little more appropriate for the dog days of summer; it's refreshing. One of a few hazies I would get again. like this brewery.

Pale gold body with a massive two fingers of soapy white head that does start to settle in but leaves less lacing along the glass than I anticipated.
Nose right off the bat is a gentle floral sweet initially. Almost orange blossoms, but fades into just kind of a whispy generally light sweet note. Malts as well introduce a gentle balance as well.
Flavour is similarly gentle. Light sweet citrus but with an earthy grainy balance to counter and an envelope of bitter citrus as well.
Very light and easy drinking. Good for the hot weather we've got here. Doesn't blow me away, but I dig it.
