500ml bottle
Pours about a finger of white soapy, fizzy head into my tulip. Retention is pretty poor, but leaves a substantial film on the top of the body, and lacing looks like it will be good. Body is a somewhat dark and hazy orange. Decent amount of bubbles coming up from what I can see. Looks decent so far.
Nose is dry, light notes of grass, orange, clove. Somewhat effervescent, and pretty inviting all around. This smells quite nice.
Taste is ok. Not nearly as effervescent as the nose. A little yeasty must, not a fan of that. Clove is the dominant flavor. Not much citrus. Pretty safe overall here. Not a bad wit, but not worth the $6.50 for a 500ml.
Mouthfeel is accurate for the style. Carbonation is on the higher side. Body is medium. Dry-ish, though there is a little sweetness here.
Drinkability is high. Not a bad beer and it goes down easy.
The appearance didn't hold up too well down the glass. The lacing was quite patchy to say the least.
Overall a solid wit, but nothing to write home about.
