Bought a growler from the brewery and poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: cloudy light brown with a ruby tinge when held up to the light. Nice head with an attractive lace.

Smell: earthy hop aroma; quite a bit more earthy and "deep" than the regular Chopper.

Taste: again, hops are earthy; on top of a slightly sweet but more than adequate malt backbone. Quite well balanced.

Mouthfeel: medium body with nice carbonation.

Drinkability: quite drinkable, but a little bit heavier in character than the regular Chopper and not quite as sessionable.

Serving type: Growler...
Poured into Magic Hat (VT) cone pint glass.

A - Pours semi-cloudy velvety-red, with a nice creamy, off-white head...- some good lacing.

S - Hops and lots of sweet citrus - some orange & grapefruit tones...

T - Smooth & Bright! A great hop kick at the top, followed by some citrus, then ending with a bit of pine-like spices...Pleasant & refreshing!!

M - Good carbonation... There's a good fullness. Present, but not 'too' much fruity/sweet flavors...The final pine/spice balances the beer out wonderfully!

O - This one is great!! I think what make this beer so good is the fine line of not over-doing 'it' in any particular area (hops, fruity-flavor, pine/spice, carbonation, and last but not least, alcohol level). VERY refreshing and will get again and...…was able to enjoy (all but the two most popular beers, Manny's Pale and the Blonde...?!) also the tasting-room & folks at Georgetown...very nice :~) I'll be back soon, especially for this one (super-chop) and the IPA!!

On tap poured into shaker pint glass at The Eastside Tavern in Olympia (awesome place)

A- Dark red with less than a finger of white head and nice lacing.

S- Dank earthy hops with light citrus and caramel malt.

T- Nice earthy hop bitterness up front then sweet and finished with bitter lingering on the palate. This is a VERY balanced beer. Possibly a bit too balanced for my liking.

M- Carbonation is higher than I like for the style. Medium mouthfeel.

O- Not my favorite from this brewery, but very well balanced easy drinker.

Super Chop, a hopped-up version of the Choppers Red, appears a honey-like mahogany orange in the glass with a thin, somewhat resilient head. Aromas of dank, gritty green hops abound, with some summer melon and sweet floral notes emerging at times.
The taste was dominated by waves of fresh hops with the malt component discernable primarily in the mouthfeel; a strong, lingering fresh hop presence does not fade willingly. Earthy on the aftertaste, primarily in the form of leather and wood. Warming through the stomach and to the toes. Decently strong, perhaps almost 7%. Pretty darn tasty.

aged in a cardboard box outdoors for 2 weeks.
it is a fiery thing, the color of lucifer's braided beard, frothing at the mouth like the demonic souls that dwell in his realm. the hops leap forth, chancing to escape the smoldering realm, but they are caught between the glass and my gullet. a sweetness like the temptation in the garden shows its head, followed by a hop flavor that only grows with each taste. "look but don't touch, touch but don't taste..." i'm going to call this a lovely sessionable amber...a beer that you just need a little more of to make sure you dwell in the pits of wrath.
