Fresh Hop Dalton

i have not had regular dalton, but this fresh hop version is wonderful, up there with the best of the fresh hop stuff ive had this season, and its been a great season for that! boy is this one bold and pleasant, very much mosaic driven to me, but more complex than that usually is by itself, and real drinkable overall because its not oversaturated and all green and vegetal, really well done beer here, hope i can drink some more of it before its all gone for the year, georgetown doing the hoppy stuff just so well! real pale orange colored with a soft chill haze on it and an inch of fizzing and popping white head, looks right on for the style, on the lighter side i suppose. aroma is wonderful, really fruity weed, lemon hard candy, lychee, mango, and just a bit of pine and malt sweetness, bitterness seems low for an ipa, the freshness is bursting forth. the flavor is the same, and its amazing how immediately the fresh hops hit, right the second the beer hits the palate, instant mosaic pineapple, tangerine, and lemon verbena, so fresh, oily and resinous but without heaviness, not sticky in that way, clean citrus through the whole thing, a verdant almost grassy thing too, fresh hops for sure, green papaya, bubble hash, and lime to finish, it warms up well, the malt stays back, and the ferment is clean, really impressive, drinkable, and even memorable. the supporting cast of hops behind the mosaic is perfect for this, and im positively thirsty for more as i write this. delicious!

On-tap in Nampa; mild haze, straw-colored, minimal head...ripe and pungent nose, fruitiness...mango and stone fruit, peach and papaya...grapefruit, mild bitterness and lingering dryness. Very good overall, a top 5 hoppy nose for 2024 for me, and a solid, cohesive palate.
