A German style Schwarzbier, this is a smooth and creamy elixir with a rich roasted and chocolate flavor. Goes down like silk!

Sampled from the tap at the New England Brewfest in Lincoln, NH on June 30, 2012. The brewer informed me that this beer is also known as "Bear Naked Black Lager." The color is dark brown with a nice silky beige head and good retention. The aroma is of dark toasted malts. some caramel, and some licorice. The body was light to medium. The taste is slightly sweet with a moderate hop bitterness playing up on the tail end. This is not available in bottles as far as I know. The best way to get it is at the brewpub or otherwise on tap.
