a true west coast style, hoppy all the way, balanced, lighter on the malt side but overall great proportions, nice freshness when i had it, these guys are making some first rate ipa types! this is golden colored and quite pretty, high headed, pure white, bubbly, and i suppose somewhat understated. the hop nose, and also taste in fact, are not radical, they are familiar, super clean though, like an elevated version of the standard at this point i feel like, citra and mosaic running things, lemon and orange, essential and clean and pure, with light melon, bitter tangerine, and some white grape as well, modern and not forced, well dosed, well dry hopped, very pleasant with such a modest grain foundation, a hint of honey to it, some lime comes out as it warms, and this is quite citrus forward, bitterness is crisping but not aggressive, and the body is light as these go, frankly the abv is too by todays trends, which i like in this, i prefer the drinkability, and this is right on. some cereal character from the malt, tidy water chemistry, drying ferment that makes it almost refreshing for the style. to me there is an almost floral note, maybe the amarillo casting that, that makes it springy and easy, on the edge of being a pale ale in some ways, excellent quality overall. i am all aboard the trap door train right now, these folks are on a heater!

Trap Door IPA pours a golden color with a big lacing head. The aroma has notes of resin. The flavor is bold and bandbitterr, with many resin and forest-like flavors. Good feel. OOverallai is a fantastic forest classic IPA.

Golden amberl brew with plenty of foam in the chalice. Lush and frothy in the mouth. Fruity aroma. Tastes of grapefruit and citrus peel. Rather bitter aftertaste for a quite moderate amount of aromatics. Still, fairly drinkable for a bitter and standard hoppy brew. From the 16 oz can, not dated.

L: Average generic gold hue with a thin wisp of a head and some spotty lacing.
S: Muted arom. Hard to take in, but it's primarily white grape and pine.
T: Follows the nose with more bitterness and citrus.
F: Average weight, off-dry and with above average carbonation.
O: This is good and well made but overall pretty simple. It is crushable though for it's slightly higher ABV.
