Sticke Altbier is a stronger version of the classic german-style altbier, both in ABV and flavor. It has more body, maltiness, and higher perceived bitterness, all the while maintaining a balance and is a very drinkable ale.

Can from ABV.

A dark reddish brown with beige highlights, this looks solid. The nose is a nice rich blend of caramelized and mildly burnt wheat toast, a richness of pumpernickel bread, a touch of buckwheat honey, along with a moderate earthy, bitter hop note. The palate is unfortunately not as good as the nose. Mild sweetness, moderate hop bitterness with earth, a little bark. The malt character isn't as deep as the nose would suggest. There's some burnt toast, a little burnt wheat, some grain. The hops follow with an earthy flavor. Drying, bitter on the finish, this is solid.
