16oz can at Here's How. Orange golden pour, sturdy white head. Aroma is orange peel, pine. Taste adds in some more fruity flavors with that undercurrent of pine staying throughout. Exceptionally smooth.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Stamp on the bottom of the can says “Alpha King” and the date I think is 9/5/23.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory head.
Smell: sweet malt aroma; hops have a citrus/grapefruit rind quality with a prickly, herbal bitterness. This is definitely a westie!
Taste: again, it’s sweet (as befitting a DIPA), but there’s a nice malt flavor here. Hops are a little less harsh than I would have guessed from the aroma: a nice orangey, grapefruity fruitiness that combines with the malt to give a nicely juicy flavor. That piney/herbal character is still there, though, and bitterness, while perhaps on the higher side, is balanced. This is a really solid West Coast IPA!
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a moderate carbonation and decent creaminess. I might have expected more from an 8% DIPA.
Overall: yeah, the more I drink this, the more it appeals to me. Good juiciness but still distinctively a West Coast style. Well done!
