Sampling a 16 oz can at cellar temp and pouring into my snifter. The beer is date stamped 10/18/2023.
The beer pours a rich cola brown color with a fairly dense and creamy beige head. No light passes through the glass.
Foam settles as a sturdy surface covering and leaves scattered lattice when I swirl my glass.
Aroma is spot on with what the label promises. I get some milk chocolate candy bar mixing with a bit of hazelnut cream and some sweet vanilla. These sweeter scents are pretty well balanced between them. No hint of ABV or hops at this point.
First sip reveals a medium body with smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation. Fairly nice physical traits.
Flavor is brief chocolate and then a good dose of hazelnut cream again and some roasted malt notes. Again, no hops and the ABV is hidden. Vanilla doesnt show much for me on flavor profile.
I really like hazelnut as an additive and find this beer pretty tasty. Glad to have tried it.
