We teamed up with our buddies and close neighbors at Recluse to brew this IPA. HBC 586, Azacca, and Citra lead the way with some Chinook to round out an awesome tropical citrus profile with a touch of mango and pine. Brewed with 100% local WA malt from LINC, and hops from WA and OR

16oz poured into a pub nonic; mostly clear yellow-gold with mild carbonation and a finger of bright white head. Nice new-school nose and palate, juicy and fresh, clean and drinkable; mango, grapefruit, pale malt, citrus rind, floral, smooth and creamy. Very easy to drink.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a three finger white head with good retention and light lacine. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, pineapple, mango, light green onion and a hint of pine. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and mild tropical fruit hops, grapefruit, lemon, light mixed tropical fruit, a hint of dankness and pine in the citrus rind finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Lots of Citra influence in this IPA; although there was lots of tropical fruit in the aroma, I'm getting mostly grapefruit citrus with only moderate tropical fruit in the taste with a little pine in the finish. It actually tastes more like a traditional citrus forward West Coast IPA than the more modern hybrid versions of this style. Hoppy and crisp, a pleasant ale for this first fairly hot day of the summer.
