i am really growing to love these guys, the hoppy stuff especially, and this is another gem, modern as can be, bold without being overdone, great use of the hop product, in this case hop kief from the lovely riwaka varital, heavy new zealand vibes to this with the nelson too, and superdelic is a killer newer varietal that pops off in this as well, probably very expensive to make with this hop load and hop quality, but its wicked beer, no doubt, citra also in the mix. neat to find it on draft, and good seeing more of these guys around idaho of late. this presents as plenty to fresh to me senses too, looks lemon yellow and whitewashed frosted hazy with a creamy white head on top of average height. aroma is explosive, white grape and pineapple candy, sticky new school fruity weed nuggets, lemon and meyer lemon and lemongrass all together, verdant honeydew melon, green gooseberry, soft coconut flesh and light grassiness too, high intensity but low vegetal harshness, way low bitterness, and interestingly fruity, without being cloying or too far into that tropical range that has become so common, more distinctive than that, kiwi fruit maybe, the southern hemisphere character is bold, and thats true in the flavor too, where the punchy riwaka really defines this, but superdelic and nelson do their thing here too, so layered and peppy, again almost no bitterness here despite really high hop potency overall, some oils permeating the tongue driving the fruitiness deeper, coconut and light lime or even lime leaf, candied intensity without sweetness, amazing really. love the way this comes together, almost creamy feeling and with some structure but very pale grain flavor and minimal at that, and even kind of raw there, unmalted wheat possible, out of the way but a good foundation for these hops, which are special in here. fairly daring and distinctive ipa here overall, such a samey beer space right now but this stands way out. absolutely excellent.
