Lacey head, not very big, but expected from an Irish dry. Smell is malt dominated, with very upfront tobacco and a hint of vanilla and caramel. Taste is fairly bitter, with smokey caramelized malts, strong dark chocolate, leather, and tobacco undertones. Finish is dry, though it does leave a coating on the tongue.
I really like the tobacco- much more present than other stouts I’ve had. My only complaint is the body is a little thin. Otherwise, good brew.
