both beers i had in here were full of potential but not very well executed overall, and this one was more guilty than their local farmer wheat beer, the yeast profile is all wrong, just messed up in fermentation but not infected, like done way too warm or way under pitched or something, the yeast seems tired and stressed, and lacks the european character it needs in this style and the crisping drying finish i look for in these. its past estery to phenolic, its even a little chemical and twangy, which is a shame, because i like the grain this is built upon, and there is some balance to it, a beer that would be drinkable with a more refined fermentation profile, but seems almost amateur as it is. some light orange and grassy vibes from the light hops in here, decent carbonation, and a medium body, unfiltered feeling to me. a little cleaning up with the yeast would make this a way better beer, but right now its just off for me, a tough one to drink they way it is. to be fair to them, they were having trouble with what i believe she said was their last keg, it was pouring foamy and ended up coming to my glass from a pitcher of settled foam, so that could have something to do with it not being very good. until next time...
