Nessmuk features simcoe, Amarillo (yay), and Columbus hops. Dankness and caramel malt exit are the features.
A- nessmuk pours a golden/copper IPA look. Excellent frothy head of foam collects along the perimeter of the glass. Bold color that insists a solid IPA is on the way.
S- so here is the scent that is highlighted by darkness. Pine, earthy, floral flavors are extremely bold. They drives a hoppiness that flows toward a balanced IPA instead of a hop forward brew. The earthiness flows into the caramel malt that was aforementioned. Dank and floral, yet full of malt at the end.
T- a blast of what I expected. Extremely dark and dank with a bursting earthy hoppiness. I can pull out the Amarillo with a slight orange flavor that hits initially and then is enrobed in a malty exit. While I prefer my ipas completely citric and tropical in terms of the hops... This is an excellent example of and IPA taste profile that pushes the malted ending.
M- this is what I may have enjoyed the most. The flavor coates your entire mouth. These gents know how to attack a palate. Flavor stays right with you!
O- while my battle cry for ipas will always be F the malt!... I enjoyed the earthy/floral Dankness of Woodland's brew. This showcases what a true caramel malt background is and I would definitely have again!
