I am trying this beer off the tapper as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear amber with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had subtle sweet malt and grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright sweet caramel malt base with grain and biscuit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

A bit of a gusher when I cracked it. Otherwise pours a clear, amber color. Thin fizzy soda like off-white head fleetingly appears on top of the beer.
Aroma has notes of bready malts, vanilla, sweet nuttiness and a hint of butter.
Taste follows the nose with notes of bready malts, toffee, vanilla, and some yeasty notes.
Feel is medium bodied, smooth almost slick. Moderate but prickly carbonation.
Overall a solid scotch ale.

Taste: caramel semi sweet malt, toffee, tangy crisp balanced finish. Malty spiced almost earthy nose. Copper in color, clear, with a tan head with some lace rings on the taster glass. Medium body. Smooth and very drinkable. 22 IBUs
