22 ounce bottle into a tulip snifter. Had 2/16/18.
Nearly a gusher, but when it settled down, a dark amber color, fairly cloudy, with a creamy head and lacing. Aromas of rye, rye whiskey, caramel, malt, dates, some figs, light spices. The taste follows along: rye whiskey, malt, caramel rye, dates, spices, light vanilla, light alcohol. Smooth, a good medium body, way over carbonated- and it is annoying.
Outside of the carbonation thing, this was very enjoyable. Very good flavor and aroma, the barrels were prominent, not dominant. Would definitely buy this again, if it’s made again.

Taste: semi sweet malts, rye, smooth, woody notes. Complex spiced rye nose. Copper hue, mostly clear, with a tan refined head and delicate lace. Medium, almost full body. Alcohol taste is sly in this one.
