22 ounce bottle into a snifter. Released Sept 2019, had 4/17/20. Not sure why this was added as “2018”.
Pours near black and opaque, oily looking with a short head foamy specks of lacing. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, oak, some caramel, light leather. The flavor also starts with bourbon, then chocolate, vanilla, oak, light caramel, a little leather, a hint of tobacco. Smooth, a solid full body, well carbonated.
This one has lots of wood, and overall, it really opens up when it’s warm. Excellent barrels and a little bit of a different flavor profile. Solid effort and very enjoyable.

Taste: rich, dark malts, dark baker's chocolate, sweet, boozy, bourbon like notes, smooth and a sticky mouthfeel. Dark malty, molasses woody sweet nose that you can tell it is 11% ABV. Black/brown hue, mostly opaque, with a tan head and nice ringed lace. Full body sipper.
